Backed by science, research and experience, Our Military Resilience Training programs are tailored to fit the tactical requirements of service members in every phase of military life.
Our resilience training incorporates research-based self-regulation techniques and technologies that promote sustainable stress tolerance and resilience. Active Duty

Coherence Advantage™ resilience training helps sharpen and sustain situational awareness, reduce operational stress symptoms, quicken reactions and improve coordination. The self-regulation tools and emWave® assistive technology facilitate mental clarity, focus and flexibility – before, during and after engagements.

Leadership

The Coherence Advantage for Leaders™ focuses on giving leaders research-based techniques for building and sustaining their personal resilience, as a cornerstone for creating a climate of unit resilience and cohesiveness among the leadership team and those they lead.

Military Families

The De-Stress™ Workshop for Military Families teaches family members to better regulate their thoughts and emotions, bringing more balance and ease into their daily challenges, relationships and post-deployment transition. The workshop includes access to age-appropriate techniques for children.

Veterans

The De-Stress Workshop for Veterans fosters the accumulation of resilience, which prevents energy drain and promotes quicker recovery from past or present physical, mental or emotional stressors. This workshop is especially helpful in dealing with many reintegration issues.

Key Spouses

The Key Spouse Program is a preventative focused health and resilience building program delivered via telephone which is designed to counter the effects and symptoms of stress or other psychological challenges for which Key Spouses can benefit from additional assistance

 

Coherence Advantage™ – Building Stress Resilience and Optimizing Performance


Based on nearly two decades of research on the physiology of optimal performance, the Coherence Advantage provides a powerful framework of education and training that builds strength and resilience. Service members learn to “Take Charge” and self-regulate their mental, emotional and physical systems. The program incorporates proven tools and technology to produce coherence, the psycho-physiological state of optimal performance. With practice, it is possible to shift to a more coherent state before, during and after challenging or adverse situations. Mental clarity and emotional stability are maximized in this state.

Service members learn skills to self-generate coherence at will, thus interrupting the body’s typical stress response, especially in extreme situations. As a result, they are able perform at their best and maintain increased balance and operational readiness in the face of deployments and day-to-day challenges.

Practicing the self-regulation and resilience-building skills helps service members:

  • Sharpen and maintain situational awareness
  • Increase mental clarity, flexible and focused thinking, especially under pressure
  • Improve reaction times and coordination
  • Reduce fatigue and sleeplessness
  • Reduce symptoms of operational stress
  • Strengthen connection to the mission, unit and team
  • Decrease friction in relationships and improve communication with unit and family members

Training programs can be tailored to suit tactical training windows. Introductory content is crafted to be delivered in two- or four-hour workshops. More thorough training can be delivered over one, two or three days. Programs can be delivered by Core Performance or certified military trainers.

This training system facilitates learning how to get coherent – the foundation for mental clarity, stress tolerance and sustained resilience. Using visual and audio feedback, the system speeds and reinforces internalization of the self-regulation and resilience-building techniques.

  • Measures and encourages coherence building.
  • With practice, progressively increases your ability to shift to the coherence state on your own.
  • Heightens clarity for discernment.
  • Promotes balance and stability during or after stress-charged situations.

Peer Mentoring for Long-term Benefits

The Coherence Advantage Peer Mentoring program provides selected unit members with knowledge and strategies to support and assist their peers in sustaining and reinforcing the self-regulation and resilience skills taught in the Coherence Advantage program. Practice and repetition are key to sustainability and actualizing the program’s benefits. Peer mentoring provides an effective strategy to facilitate the grounding and ongoing use of the skills by providing participants with consistent support from a mentor or coach.

The Core Performance De-Stress™ Workshop for Military Families is a practical, down-to-earth, program that teaches family members specific skills for de-stressing and bringing more balance and ease into their daily challenges, communications, relationships and support of loved ones during deployment and reintegration. These skills can be used to better manage stress and are especially helpful in preparing for potentially difficult situations.

This program’s success can be attributed largely to two of Core Performance’s most effective self-regulation techniques, which provide simple, but effective ways to shift into coherence, a state in which the heart, brain and nervous system are in alignment. This balanced state forms the foundation of both personal and family resilience.

In addition, family members learn to start the process of managing stress and identifying depleting emotions, those that drain our resilience, impair relationships and diminish performance.

The techniques and skills learned in this workshop will help with

De-Stress Workshop™ for Veterans

The De-Stress™ Workshop for Veterans teaches each veteran self-regulation skills that provide simple and effective ways to shift into the coherence mode, a mental state of personal readiness, in which the veteran’s heart, brain and nervous system are brought back into alignment. Coherence creates a balance between the body and mind and a healthy sense of well-being.

In this workshop, the de-stressed veteran begins building greater focus and becomes aware of ways to manage nervous feelings and create more inner security. Equipped with improved personal readiness and greater emotional balance, the veteran is strengthened to meet the demands of the military-to-civilian transition process.

Veterans can immediately begin using the skills to start the process of managing stress and identifying depleting emotions, which drain resilience, impair relationships and diminish mental and physical performance. They learn to use researched-based self-regulation techniques to deal with a host of reintegration issues and predictable stressors such as frustration, impatience, anger and worry and to respond with greater mental focus and emotional balance
